Waves turn to ice as the sun rises over Revere Beach on a cold winter morning.  Time passes and the ice melts.  At dusk, reflections ripple in the water of buildings near the sea.

The sunrise pictures were taken on 1/31/2010 - an extremely cold morning 12.9 degrees F (not counting wind chill). This was unusually cold, even for Revere/Boston! The/night prior had a low temp of 6 degrees.  Burr!  My hands were burning from the cold. I wish I had worn gloves (but how would I have operated my camera)! In the West, a beautiful full moon was visible as at dawn.

The sunset pictures were taken on 2/1/2010.  By then, the daytime temperature rose to a few degrees above freezing -- so most of the ice had melted.  The tide was low, so I was able to walk quite a distance into to ocean to take the pictures of the reflections.
